Clean sheets please Justy

POSTING clean sheets at the back has been as significant a feature of Tyrone’s record breaking start to 2012 as any of the swashbuckling attacking play being conjured up at the other end of the field.

Last weekend’s shut out of Meath at Healy Park means that the Red Hands have avoided conceding a solitary goal in any of their six league outings to date, and that despite the fact the keeper and full-back line has been shuffled about for each of those matches.

Justin McMahon has started in his customary number three jersey for the last three games and was as assured and commanding as ever as the rather toothless Royals attack struggled to establish any penetration or potency.

He was keen though to emphasise the overall fifteen-man contribution to Tyrone’s defensive mean-streak.
