‘Education key to tackling gambling problem’ – McConville

ARMAGH GAA star Oisin McConville has called for  greater education in tackling the growing problem of gambling among young people.
Mr McConville was in Strabane on Wednesday to give a talk on his personal experiences of the murky world of gambling addiction. Over a 15 year period, the 36-year-old accumulated debts of more than £100,000 in losing bets.
Through the support of the Sister Consilios Rehab Centre, he is now successfully battling his addiction and is a qualified counsellor on the topic.
