Golf club set to review security following attack

STRABANE Golf Club is to review its security arrangements after vandals attacked the course on Wednesday of last week.

Greenkeepers arrived at the Ballycolman course the following morning to find dozens of large divots kicked out of the seventh hole green.

A gang of up to 20 youths was spotted in the area earlier in the evening. Strabane Golf Club committee member Tommy Forbes said that there appeared to be a small core of young people hell-bent on disrupting sport in the town.
