Vandals criticised following grave attack

A NEWTOWNSTEWART mother has hit out at the vandals who smashed a precious ornament on her daughter’s grave.

The grave at Baronscourt of Valerie Patterson was targeted some time between last Thursday evening and Saturday morning. A flower holder, described as being of great sentimental value, was smashed during the incident.

Ms Patterson passed away seven years ago. Yesterday (Wednesday), her mother Anne Patterson questioned the thinking behind the vandalism.
“We put flowers on the grave on Thursday and we got the call on Saturday to say the ornament had been smashed.
