IN a reversal of the stereotypical norm, redheads have been enjoying some great publicity of late. On Friday past flame-haired singer Ed Sheeran was shouting from the rooftops about how great it is to be ginger.
Speaking after picking up an Ivor Novello music award where he was nominated alongside fellow redheads Adele and Florence Welch, Sheeran said, “It’s a brilliant thing for gingers. Three gingers in the same category and I think we’re doing well. Hooray for the gingers”.
No doubt it hasn’t always been such a positive attribute for Ed though. The likelihood is that he was the butt of many cruel jokes down through the years, all because of his Fanta-flavoured mop top.
But with his bank account bursting at the seams and his career rocketing, Ed has turned the tables on the bullies.
