Police investigate drugs find at Castlederg Highschool

Police in Castlederg are investigating reports of a number of pupils possessing drugs at Castlederg High School.

Police have revealed that officers were called to the school on Monday (May 14) after receiving a report of a number of youths possessing illegal substances on school premises.

A number of students at the school are understood to have been suspended as a result of the drugs find.

“The youths and their parents have been spoken to by police and a programme of drugs advice and awareness has been instigated by police and partner agencies,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

The school have said they are unable to comment while a police investigation is ongoing.
