On the job line – hundreds turn up at recruitment fair

STRABANE’S desperate employment shortage was highlighted again this week with over 350 job hunters applying for just 30 posts with IT company All State.

Applicants began queuing for the All State recruitment drive at The Alley Theatre shortly after 9am on Tuesday in the hope of securing one of a handful of positions on offer.

A steady stream of applicants took part in the interview process throughout the day and in an innovative recruitment approach, candidates were able to fill in their application forms on site before having them examined by company officials. Participants should know by Monday if they have secured employment.
