STRABANE Parish Priest Fr Declan Boland described today’s ‘not guilty’ verdicts in his brother’s case as “A good day for priests”.
Fr Eugene Boland was cleared of five charges of indecent assault at Derry Crown Court after an eight day trial.
Speaking to the Strabane Chronicle immediately after the verdicts, Fr Declan Boland, Parish Priest of Strabane, said he was “thrilled” and paid tribute to everyone who had stood by the Boland family since the allegations surfaced.
