A brave bunch of local ladies are preparing to strip off for a stage production of the smash hit film Calendar Girls.
It is more than a decade since an unassuming bunch of Yorkshire WI members bared all to raise funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research.
While the ladies set themselves a target of just a few hundred pounds their story become a global phenomenon, eventually grossing more than £50m worldwide.
The rights to the now classic story became available earlier this year and have been snapped by, among others, local stage veteran Aodh McCay.
Together with a local cast, Aodh has set about bringing the poignant but hilarious story to the North West.
