The Strabane Chronicle

MEMORIES of Strabane in decades gone by have been stirred thanks to a new Facebook page. ‘Old Strabane and its Memories’ was set up just two weeks ago and has already attracted attention right across the world.

Ex-pats and locals alike have been flocking to the site, posting photos from bygone eras and fondly remembering many of the town’s colourful characters. Recollections of Strabane’s narrow streets as they once were and many long gone businesses have all been rekindled via ‘Old Strabane and its Memories’.

Meanwhile former residents now living on far flung shores have been tuning in to catch up with old school friends and work colleagues.
