A PLUMBRIDGE based artist renown for his stunning depiction’s of rural Irish life is preparing for his first solo exhibition tomorrow evening (Friday) in An Creagan centre.
Although he was born in Glasgow and spent some 20 years in Canada, Martin McGrinder was raised in the Glenelly Valley and it’s the clear the landscape left an indelible impact on his artistic temperament in over two decades of painting.
Harnessing his favoured acrylic colours, Martin has established an impressive body of work depicting the characters and countryside scenes which have captured the artist’s imagination.
