Gerard i2 raps up Sounds Like Summer 2012 title

IN the tightest result in the competition’s five year history, rapper Gerard i2 is this year’s Sounds Like Summer champion.
Strabane’s Alley Theatre was packed on Friday night as four acts put themselves before the judges for a final time. And what a night it proved to be, with each act providing a spectacle that had the audience singing, clapping and even dancing along.
In the end though it came down to a split decision, with upcoming rap star Gerard i2 eventually getting the nod.
As part of their package for reaching the grand final, all four performances were professionally recorded on film, a welcome addition to any music CV.
