Ipswich clash special for Skipper Hall

Tyrone Milk Cup Junior squad captain, Ben Hall

FOR one member of the Tyrone Junior squad Saturday’s Milk Cup clash with Ipswich Town at Mountjoy is going to be that little bit extra special.

For it was at Lisnagirr Road that the prodigious talents of Junior skipper Ben Hall first came to the attention of coaches involved in the Mountjoy Juniors set-up. Hall, a central midfield player, subsequently moved to the highly-regarded Dungannon United Youth three seasons ago and has since being making his mark in the National Youth League.

During that time Stoke City and Everton have had a look at the Omagh lad, who along with his team-mates is hoping to make a real impact against Ipswich Town, Hapoel Haifa and Co Armagh next week.

Saturday’s showdown with Ipswich Town though is the primary focus for Paul Kee’s young charges and the skipper is relishing the challenge.

“For obvious reasons Saturday is going to be that bit special,” said Ben.
“Playing a team like Ipswich at the place where it all started for me means a lot. It will for all the players.
