Community workers have uncovered a chilling Twelfth of July plot being orchestrated by text message to burn down a Strabane school.
A concerned parent contacted community leaders in Springhill and Fountain Street at the weekend after discovering messages on her child’s phone.
The texts revealed plans to torch Strabane Academy today, July 12.
The same school was badly damaged in an attack last July when repair bills ran to more than £30,000.
Local community workers say they plan to face down the young mob by patrolling the Liskey Road and surrounding estates.
