Dergivew sign up Milk Cup stars

Dergview’s Tommy Canning

STAR attacker Johnny Lafferty’s decision to re-sign for Dergview came in a week that the management team of Tommy Canning and sidekick Adrian Forbes significantly strengthened their panel with the signing of Tyrone Milk Cup players Tom Carlin and Cathal McShane and the resigning of established forward Warner Mullen.

Carlin and goalscorer McShane starred in the Tyrone Premier team’s historic 2-0 victory over Manchester United last month while Mullen has been a regular at Darragh Park for a number of seasons.

McShane came off the bench to score in Saturday’s victory over Championship Two side, Annagh United and Canning is delighted to have strengthened his attacking options.

“Johnny Lafferty is a marquee signing at this level,” said Canning.
“It’s no secret that a number of clubs were chasing his signature but I think the fact that we were able to accommodate him was crucial. He’s a direct replacement for Ryan Campbell.”
