LIFFORD Scout leader and well known photographer Joe Boland had good reason to smile this week, after being shortlisted as the Donegal nominee for the Calor Community Champion initiative.
Joe has been involved in scouting for almost 20 years and has helped countless young people reach their full potential. In the past he has taken up roles on county, provincial and national boards. Joe is not only a regular scout leader but also an avid scout leader trainer and has trained hundreds of leaders over many years, including at least ten volunteer training courses this year alone.
