
THE family of a suicide victim say they believe Strabane’s high deprivation levels are driving people to take their own lives.
The comments echo remarks made on Monday, World Suicide Prevention Day, by Health Minister Edwin Poots. He revealed that people living in Northern Ireland’s poorest areas were three times more likely to take their own lives.
Billy Farrell was 35 when he took his own life on May 15 2008.
