McShane prepares for hardest course

STRABANE distance runner Dessie McShane is preparing for one of the biggest challenges of his life – two marathons in six days. On April 16 the 46-year-old will be Stateside for the Boston Marathon before flying back for the London Marathon on April 22. It will be the ninth time Dessie has taken on Boston and amazingly, his 24th crack at London. As usual the Strabane man will be running in aid of Foyle Hospice, a charity he has raised tens of thousands of pounds for down through the years.
