Karate- Ventures 1

Ventures II took the early bus to Belfast on Sunday to compete in the Karate Northern Ireland Open Championships.

The 6am start had its members a little dazed but in very high spirits.

Twenty-one competitors in all accompanied by parents, coaches and well wishers made the trip to Queens University PE Centre, a great venue for the annual event.

The high standard and charged atmosphere was evident from the start. All Ventures II did well and progression from round to round made them more excited and determined.

In all the club came home with eleven medals in various events and of various levels. Most outstanding was the two gold winners, Conor Healey for Kumite and also James Brennan for Kumite.

Excellent performances were produced by all members who took part and the club are, as always, very proud of their efforts and performances.
