Anticipation rising ahead of next week’s Glenfest spectacular

GLENFEST has consolidated its position as one of the most highly anticipated local festivals. Returning for its second year later this month, Glenfest has a range of events and attractions to suit all age groups and all members of the family.

Ed Fox will perform at this year’s Glenfest.

Organised by Glenmornan Community Association Glenfest combines the best of community entertainment and craic. Kicking off on Friday of next week (May 15) is The Quare Gunk by Strabane Parish Church Players, tickets cost £8 (adult) and £4 (U12s).

These can be purchased at the Glen Shop or contact Glenfest on Facebook. HIGHLIGHTS Then on Sunday May 17 the Senior Football Championship game, Donegal against Tyrone is being shown in Owen Roses clubrooms alongside a Guess the Score competition.

On Wednesday (May 20) Big Bingo is offering a jackpot of £1,000. This starts at 9pm and a bus is travelling from Strabane for the event.

One of the highlights of the week is sure to be Glor Tire finalist Ed Fox’s appearance in Glenmornan Community Hall on Friday May 22. Tickets (£5) can be purchased at the Glen Shop or via Glenfest on Facebook.

The following Saturday a bring and buy sale will be held plus a baking competition from 12.30pm.

There will also be an u-16 disco with DJ Georgie.

Glenfest will wrap up with a huge family fun day on May 24 with fun for all the family from 1pm including krazy karts, bouncy castle, zorb football, penalty kick, crossbar challenge and many more side shows.
