Highlight of the day however was Jordan Harrigan’s impressive victory in the men’s -21 years – 67kg category.

The final was streamed live on the internet so family and friends back home were able to follow the action as it happened.

Coach Simon O’Dowd said of the performance, “To travel away from home and beat people on their home turf is never easy. We are beginning to see the fruits of the past years training. This was Jordan’s most mature and solid victory.”

2016 already looks like being another busy year for the club, with tournaments already scheduled in Sweden, France, Germany the UK.
