THREE brothers from Strabane have been inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame, London.
Last month Shane Paul Devlin and his brother Denis were inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame London for the Instructor Award while younger sibling Tyrone was honoured in being presented with the Martial Arts Spirit Award.
All three were awarded induction certificates and Hall of Fame rings by Grandmaster Gary Wasniewski 10th Dan.
“We were delighted to be inducted into the Hall of Fame,” said Shane Paul.
“I only know of two or three other people who have been awarded this, so it isn’t very common at all.
“Tyrone received the Spirit Award which is presented to those who have overcome difficulties or problems in continuing to practice martials arts.”
Shane-Paul and Denis have been involved in martial arts for approximately 15 years and boast a host of qualifications that cover an impressive spectre of disciplines including karate, kick-boxing, jiu jitsu, kick jitsu and self defence.
They, too, are qualified in a range of First Aid and in safeguarding young children and vulnerable adults.
