Lafferty netted a goal and five points but it wasn’t enough as Errigal made it two wins from two.

A stronger bench and greater efficiency in front of the posts ensured Errigal maintained their place among the early Division One pacesetters.

Urney battled admirably throughout and when Lafferty and Plunkett Langan both found the net the visitors looked capable of taking something from the game.

But a defensive blunder on 46 minutes allowed Davy Harte to level the contest and Errigal never looked back.

The momentum shifted completely with three of Errigal’s substitutions contributing six points as they built on their opening round success over Galbally.
