IVAN Sproule has moved into the management game after agreeing to become the new boss of Northern Ireland Intermediate League outfit Ardstraw FC.
The former Northern Ireland international was officially unveiled as the new ‘Straw supremo last week.
The ex-Hibs and Bristol City attacker will be assisted by former Dergview player Neil Coulter.
It’s a whole new ball game for the Castlederg native but a challenge he is relishing.
“I am taking charge of a great club in Ardstraw FC. It’s the start of my managerial venture and one I am very excited about,”he said.
“I would like to say a big thanks to the the club for giving me this opportunity along with my assistant Neil Coulter.
Sproule replaces Gary Simpson who at the end of the season stepped down after three and half seasons in charge at Vaughan’s Holm.
During that time the North Tyrone outfit reached four cup finals and finished runner-up in the league last season.
