“A lot of work has gone into the CD and preparation for Killeter Fair” Jamie explained. “Both producing a CD and performing at a venue such as Killeter gives me the opportunity to further my ambitions as a performer and build my career.”

The production of a CD marks an exciting stage in an already successful musical career for Jamie. Since starting to sing at the tender age of seven, she has earned a diploma in musical theatre, starred in the massively successful Holy Cross College production of Les Misérables, and made it to the finals of the prestigious ‘Sounds Like Country’ competition in Bundoran.

Most recently, Jamie has been playing bars and other venues around Strabane, Omagh and Letterkenny, and is keen to further establish herself on the local music scene.

“At this stage, I am performing at venues regularly and promoting myself as much as possible” she said. “I am looking forward to performing at Killeter Fair and encouraging people to have a listen to my CD  – after all, you never know where this could lead.”

With a mixture of country and pop, Jamie is hoping the CD will appeal to a wide audience, and not just fans of country music. “With covers of songs from the likes of Randy Newman, Dolly Parton, and Sara Evans, I am hoping there is something for everyone.

“My favourite song on the CD is ‘Together You and I’. It’s such a beautiful song by such an influential artist, and I am happy to have made it the headline track for the album.”

Overall, Jamie is looking forward to seeing what Saturday will bring, “It is a big day for me, and I am hoping everything goes well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank RJ Catterson for helping me secure this performance at Killeter Fair. Also to Gordon Speers for all his help, and Luke Devaney who assisted with the production of the CD. I would also like to thank my family and everyone who has enjoyed my music so far.”
