Athletic and Ardstraw set sights on last four

Conal Crawford and his Strabane Athletic team-mates travel to Dungiven

STRABANE Athletic and Ardstraw  will both bid to reach the semi-finals of the Craig Memorial Cup  on Saturday.

Athletic, who defeated Tobermore United in the last 16, are again on the road when they take on Dungiven at Ballygudden Road.

Last weekend Strabane were beaten for the first time this season when going down 1-0 to Maiden City in a NI Intermediate League Cup fixture.

Neil Carlin’s charges will be keen to bounce back in their quest to secure a place in the semi-final.

Ivan Sproule’s Ardstraw meanwhile travel to NI Intermediate newboys Magherafelt Sky Blues.

In the last round Sproule scored twice as his team ran out deserbed 4-2 winners against Newbuildings.

Teenager Dylan Russell and Sammy McKelvey were also on target in setting up a last four date at the Sky Blues.

In the other quarter-finals Maiden City host Newtowne while Portstewart entertain Moyola Park.
