With an emphasis on spring style and bright summer wears, event spokesperson Anne Robinson is certain the event will be a ‘runway’ success.

“Whilst most hockey clubs are winding down for the season, members of Derg Valley Junior Hockey Club are busy preparing for their latest venture,” Anne explained. “With the emphasis being placed on the club members, the children and their parents are taking to the stage and busy learning to strut their stuff on the catwalk.”

While the organisers have enlisted the help of loyal club members, an array of local flair has also been enlisted to model the latest trends.

“With junior members and a range of local individuals taking part, everyone is working hard to practice for what promises to be a great night’s entertainment. New season styles will be on show with a wide variety of shops from Castlederg and beyond showcasing this spring and summer’s latest styles, allowing us to get rid of the winter blues and re-stock our summer wardrobe,” Anne added.

Tickets are priced at £5, and available from a range of local outlets. Anne said, “The ticket price includes entry into a draw. Tickets are available from committee members detailed on our website or from Hair Creations, Castlederg, The Village Shop, Killen, S&K Shoes, Castlederg and R S Waugh, Castlederg. Alternatively, tickets and more information can be obtained from myself by calling 07764224382.”
