Danny is Ulster boxing champ

Immaculata ABC travelled to Eglington Community Centre and had a successful weekend with boxers participating in 11, 12, 13 year old boys and girls Ulster Boxing finals.
Having won his Mid Ulster title the previous weekend, 13 year old Danny Duffy at 39kg capped a fantastic two weeks for himself and the club when he went on to win his first Ulster final. Danny claimed gold by way of a 3-0 defeat over Darius Parke from Coleraine.
With this victory Danny will travel to Dublin this  weekend (April 3), to take his place in the All Ireland Boxing Championships.
It is well known that young Duffy is one of the best prospects to come along ina mateur boxing in Strabane for a long time. As he continues his preparations for Dublin, the coaches and club members would like to congratulate him on his success and best wishes for Dublin.
Also thanks to Mourne Golden Gloves and Lisnafin ABC for their best wishes for Danny.
The club would like to take this opportunity to wish Danny’s brother, Gary Duffy 66kg Immaculata ABC Youth (2) and Paddy McGlinchey, Mourne Golden Gloves ABC Youth (2) 60kg all the best for their Mid Ulster finals this Saturday in the Station Centre, Omagh
