McMenamin signs for Dungannon Swifts

DEFENDER Liam McMemanin has signed for Dungannon Swifts.

The Strabane man agreed a two year contract after a period playing with his hometown club Strabane Athletic.

The former Sheffield Wednesday trainee also had a spell at Championship outfit Dergview and previously played in the Danske Bank Premiership with Ballinamallard United.

McMenamin’s arrival at Stangmore Park comes days after Ryan Mayse joined the Swifts from Ballinamallard.

McMenamin has described the move as a “fresh start”.

I am delighted to be joining the Swifts,” he said.

This is a fresh start at a fantastic club, with the desire to do better and keep progressing in the league.

I feel I can bring some experience, some good football, as well as a bit of bite.”
