Call for prayers to be said for young mechanic

A LOCAL minister has urged the community of Sion Mills to pray for the family of a young mechanic who died following an accident in the High Road area of the village on Monday.  
Rev Jonathan McFarland, curate of the Parish of Urney, said the community is still coming to terms with the death of the young man. The victim has been named locally as Richard Harron, aged 26, who worked at the Pat Kirk garage in Omagh.
“The entire community is in shock following this very sad news” said Rev McFarland. “The family of this young man would appreciated the prayers of the local churches and their communities.”
Police have confirmed they are investigating the death.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said “Police attended the sudden death of a man in the High Road area of Sion Mills around 10.30pm on Monday November 13.
“A post mortem is due to be carried out to determine the cause of death.”
No funeral arrangements are available at this time.
