Strabane company’s purple reign

Handy man John McGuinness is delighted to land the contract with Purple Bricks. DR10

A STRABANE  company has been awarded exclusive property maintenance for a leading online estate agent.
Speaking to the Strabane Chronicle this week, John McGuinness of Strabane Handyman Services says he’s delighted at the development.
“As far as I know, they (Purple Bricks) stumbled across us on the internet and after that they got in touch,” the company founder said.
According to the Belldoo man, Purple Bricks then initiated a verification procedure to check out the local service’s quality of completed works.
“Basically, they then awarded us the contract,” John continued.
The new contract for Strabane Handyman Services means that any upkeep, remedial or maintenance works – from door hinges to painting and everything in-between – for any of Purple Bricks’ 400 properties in Northern Ireland will go to the local company.
“It’s definitely good news for us,” John added. “It means we’ll have to take on another full-time employee. We’re busy as it is, but this is great news. It’s all good.”
Purple Bricks is an online estate agents founded in 2012.
