Bagatelle celebrating 40 years of music at the Alley

Popular Irish band Bagatelle are set for the Alley Theatre, Strabane on Thursday, January 24.

Bagatelle started in 1978 at a time when original bands weren’t all that successful in Ireland.

However their music did work and would establish them firmly on the Irish music circuit worldwide.

Over those 40 years they have had several number one singles with iconic songs like Summer in Dublin, Second Violin, Trump Card, Leeson Street Lady, All Fall Down Philadelphia, Johnny Set ‘Em Up, Love is the Reason, I Need You and many more.

They have shared stages with legends, Bob Marley, John Denver, The Pogues, Duran Duran, Van Morrison, U2 and UB40. The list is endless.

Two years ago Bagatelle completed their final year tour, retired (for all of about three months) got bored not touring, then played a major ‘One for The Road’ sold out tour across Ireland and UK. They are now bringing 40 years of original music to the Alley Theatre.

Expect a hugely entertaining and memorable night – this is the final opportunity for fans to hear these old classics live on stage. This is a night not to be missed.

  • Tickets are £25 available from the Alley Theatre Box Office on 028 71 384444 or online
