Actors from the Strabane Parish Players are currently putting the finishing touches to their new production of the hilarious ‘Separate Beds’.
Written by Sam McCree ‘Separate Beds’ is packed full of colourful characters and chaos.
Join with Arthur Marshall (played by Leslie Buchanan) in the run up to his daughter Judy’s (Emma Rutherford) wedding as sparks fly between his estranged wife Clare (Anne Smith) and his neighbour Madge (Ruth Buchanan) who has a twinkle in her eye for Arthur.
Add in the mother-in-law to be Mrs Rea (Rachel Devenney) who no-ones wants to tell that Arthur and Clare are no longer together, the absent minded minister Rev Matthew Gribble (Philip Smith), the painter Andy Crawford (James Chambers) who is expectantly awaiting the arrival of a new baby in his family and is testing Arthur’s patience as he spruces up the house in advance of the big day and the well meaning housemaid Ivy (Elaine Sproule) and the stage is set for some comedy gold from the talented Strabane Parish Players.
• ‘Separate Beds’ will be performed on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26 in the Church Hall, Bowling Green, Strabane. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 and are available from any cast member or contact Elaine Sproule on 07746900356. It promises to be a night of light hearted entertainment to chase away the winter blues.
