The winners of the Euromillions New Year’s Day jackpot are believed to have strong local links.
Frances and Patrick Connolly, who live in Moira, County Down, matched the winning numbers in the New Year’s Day draw.
It is the fourth biggest UK EuroMillions win and the biggest in the North since Strabane’s Margaret Loughrey claimed £27million in 2013.
The lucky pair’s identities were revealed at a press conference just outside Belfast on Friday.
Frances Connolly, originally Graham, is a native of The Glebe.
Speaking to the media, Frances said the money will be shared between family, friends and charitable causes.
The couple who are in their 50s and have three daughters says they have already drawn up a list of people they want to help out.
