The one and only Dergfest is back…

Clear your summer calendar as one of the most anticipated weekends of music is back, and the line-up for DergFest 2019 is set to be the best yet.

Now in it’s sixth year, the Castlederg festival has welcomed many popular artists to the local stage, and this year will be no different as Sunday’s headlining act has just been confirmed as ‘The One and Only’ Chesney Hawkes.

The boutique music festival which spans over three days – July 26 to July 28 – is a huge part of the local economy and organisers are very excited to be bringing the festival back for another year.

“It’s great for our wee town, and it’s great to be able to do something positive for people here,” said a spokesperson for DergFest.

“Every year we bring international acts to the stage, and it attracts visitors from all over to the country and further afield.

“The festival features brilliant artists, and really there’s something everyone can enjoy.”
DergFest weekend has definitely become a defining part of the summer calendar in Tyrone, and every July the buzz throughout the small town of Castlederg is incredible.

With music to suit just about everyone, from ravers to jivers, DergFest has it all.

Although the Friday night act has yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that an international DJ will be taking to the Castle Park stage.

As always, Saturday night is country night, and country singing legends Johnny Brady and Mike Denver will be coming to Castlederg to sing all their favourite country hits. So get your jiving shoes on, this is sure to be a night for the whole family.

The fun doesn’t stop there as the Castlederg crowd are sure to be “Dancing in the moonlight” to rock band Toploader on the Sunday night, followed by chart topping pop singer Chesney Hawkes – famous for his 1991 hit, “The One and Only” – who will bring the fabulous weekend of music to a close. Certainly a line-up not to be missed.

• Tickets are £20 per night or £50 for a weekend ticket. They are on sale now in The Derg Arms, Logues Bar, Mickey Joe’s, Townhouse or via the website
