Q&A – McDonald’s Strabane Customer Experience Leader

1. What qualities do you need to carry out your job role?

There are many qualities needed to work in a busy McDonald’s restaurant like ours. Excellent communication skills are key, especially when working in a fast-paced environment such as this. Being able to use your own initiative but also working well consistently in a team are both good qualities to have. It is vital to be able to take and follow instructions accurately, especially when food safety and preparation procedures are concerned. As customer experience leader I am a stickler for ensuring all staff provide and maintain a high standard of customer service, making sure customers’ needs are always met.

2. What does an average day at work include?

I know it’s a cliché but there is no average day! We have a great team at the Strabane restaurant, and we all work together to ensure everything gets done accurately and efficiently. I will spend a good part of my shift on the floor meeting and greeting customers ensuring they receive the best possible experience when visiting our restaurant. I love the variety and meeting with different people every day!

3. What is your favourite McDonald’s Meal?

My favourite meal at McDonald’s would either be the BBQ Wrap or the Garlic Mayo Wrap meal. It is a difficult decision to make!

4. Can you describe yourself in 3-5 words?

I would describe myself as passionate, ambitious and a driven person.

5. What motivates you?

I consider myself a very motivated individual. When it comes to work, meeting targets and goals is important, however I also thoroughly enjoy mentoring and coaching others. Leading a team to success and overcoming challenges along the way is very motivating.
