AN innovative new social network created by a former Strabane man, has officially gone live on both iOS and Android.
Curated, a social app which encourages users to share and recommend quality content like articles, books and podcasts, was initially launched on a limited basis prior to Christmas by its founder, Rory Kelly.
This week though “all barriers” have been removed from the app and it’s available to a world-wife audience.
“Since we first released as open beta on Android in October 2018 we’ve had over 16,000 signed up users and over 9,000 content reviews,” Rory Kelly, who now lives in London, explained.
“Curated is now being used to discuss the latest tech news, newest Netflix series, trendy podcasts and your favourite books and so much more.
“Most importantly, we’ve heard from some of you that Curated has positively impacted your life. Our team couldn’t be happier since that has always been our north star – crafting a great, friendly social experience around your favourite content.
“Now the time has come to remove all barriers to entry and officially release Curated. We feel it’s reached a stable place – one where we can confidently launch new and exciting features from.”
Rory Kelly founded his own software company, Rockspin. He previously worked for Mind Candy the makers of Moshi Monsters and also in telecoms for a company acquired by Roman Abramovich.
He concluded, “If you’ve enjoyed the app and want to help us reach even more people, please consider writing a review on the Appstore or Playstore. It would go a long way towards helping us get the word out there!”
