Confirmed case at Strabane school

There has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 at Strabane Academy.

In a statement released this afternoon, Strabane Academy said they have been informed of a confirmed case of Covid-19 within their school  community.

The statement read, “We have just been informed of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our school community.

“Following guidelines, the school will be closed to all pupils and staff next week to allow for an enhanced deep clean.

“The school will reopen for the children of key workers on Monday the 30th March.

“As stated, key worker parents should inform the school today by telephone or email of their intention to send their pupils into school.”
