King and Swifts remain upbeat

DYLAN King is hoping it’s a case of third time lucky when Dungannon Swifts visit Mourneview Park tomorrow afternoon.

Swifts have lost their opening two fixtures against Larne and Warrenpoint Town and the north Tyrone defender is hoping that this weekend the Stangmore Park outfit can pick up their first points of the season.

Against Warrenpoint, Swifts gave as good as they got but a failure to take their chances, defensive lapses and an inspired performance by visiting keeper Gabriel Sava resulted in Dungannon drawing a blank for a second consecutive weekend.

King and his team-mates though remain upbeat and for the Artigarvan man there would be no better place to break their duck than at his old stomping ground on Saturday.

“I had a great time at Glenavon, it’s a great club and I still know a lot of the boys and speak to them. It’ll be good to test ourselves against them – they had a good result on Saturday.
